From a horse pasture to 3,000sqft showroom, 4,000sqft shop, and 5 acres filled with trailers. 

Luft Trailer Sales began humbly in 1991, when the Luft family relocated to Ellensburg, Washington. Their journey started with the purchase of a stock trailer to move their belongings. In Ellensburg, as we were unloading, our first customer stopped and wanted to purchase the trailer. A second trailer was purchased, it sold just as fast. This cycle sparked the beginning. 

With just a horse pasture and carport,  Tom began installing hitches by night, while the family operated trailer sales from their home and pasture by day. In 1994 after three years of steady growth, Luft Trailer Sales moved into its first official location on Canyon Road. The business quickly outgrew that space, leading to continuous expansion and the opening of a second location in Chehalis.

As demand pushed growth, the family purchased and renovated the former Superior Lamb Packing Plant in Ellensburg. By spring of 2007, the transformation was complete. Today, Luft Trailer Sales operates a modern facility featuring a 3,000 sq. ft. parts and accessories showroom, a 4,000 sq. ft. shop and receiving room, and 5 acres filled with a wide selection of trailers.

Beyond business, Luft Trailer Sales remains deeply involved in the community, proudly supporting local organizations and events such as the Ellensburg Rodeo, The Sparrow Foundation, Kittitas Valley 4-H, Hospice, and West Star Roping. In 2006, the Ellensburg Rodeo Top Hands honored the Luft family as "Family of the Year."
